It’s a battle of the unbeatens this weekend in Lincoln. The 4th ranked Nebraska volleyball team is hosting 5th ranked Minnesota. The Huskers are 6-0 on the season, the Gophers are 8-0 on the year. First serve tonight is at 8:00. Sunday’s match is set for an 11:00 AM start.
The Nebraska men’s basketball team is hosting Purdue tomorrow afternoon. The Huskers and Boilermakers are set to tipoff at 4:30. The Husker women host Penn State Sunday afternoon at 2:00.
The UNK basketball teams were hosting Central Missouri last night. The Loper men cruised past the Mules 74-51.
In a battle of nationally ranked teams, the Loper women were edged by the Jennies 70-66. The UNK basketball teams host Lincoln University Saturday. It will be their final home games of the season. The women will tipoff at 2:00, the men at 4:00.
The 16th ranked UNK volleyball team begins conference play Sunday in Hays, Kan., with matches against Emporia State and Newman.
The UNK softball team is in Denver, Colorado today for a pair of games against the Regis Rangers. The two teams haven’t met on the diamond since UNK was a member of the RMAC back in the spring of 2011.
The Tri-City Storm open an eight game homestand tonight against the Lincoln Stars. The puck drops at 7:05.
